José Antonio advises clients on Competition Law, Consumer Protection, Advertising, Intellectual Property and Digital Business matters. He has particular expertise in merger control and in the identification and removal of bureaucratic barriers that restrict the development of economic activity. His practice also encompasses Administrative Law, with a particular focus on administrative litigation. 

Previously, he served as Authorised Legal Representative of INDECOPI and Senior Advisor to the Executive Board of the Superintendence of the Securities Market of Peru (SMV). 

He holds a Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, has completed postgraduate studies in Law, Business and Justice at Universidad de Valencia (Spain), and in Competition Law and Intellectual Property at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. 

He is co-author of Derecho del Comercio Internacional Peruano (Tirant lo Blanch, Valencia, 2022), Manual de Derecho del Consumo Aplicado a los Servicios Bancarios (Palestra, Lima, 2021), and the Anuario Iberoamericano de Derecho Administrativo Social del FIDA, among other publications
