Carlos focuses his practice on Corporate and Financial Law, with more than fifteen years of experience in banking and insurance regulation, capital markets, project finance, corporate law and foreign investment. His practice combines strategic advice on contractual structures, corporate governance and regulatory compliance with transactional execution in syndicated lending, securities issuances, real and personal security arrangements, as well as corporate exit and restructuring processes, including dissolutions, liquidations, corporate filings and reorganisations. 

He has advised on cross-border capital markets transactions, working alongside local counsel teams on registrations before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), including M&A transactions involving Form S-4 filings. He has broad sector experience across the energy, telecommunications, mining, logistics and pharmaceutical industries, including appointments as liquidator and attorney-in-fact in corporate dissolution and liquidation proceedings. Throughout his career, he previously worked at leading law firms in Peru, including Berninzon & Benavides Abogados and ECIJA Peru, where he has led multidisciplinary teams and managed complex negotiations. 

He holds a Law degree from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC) and is a member of the Lima Bar Association (CAL).
